The British Parliament has passed stricter lockdown measures just days before Christmas amidst a large Tory MP rebellion.
The so-called ‘Plan B’ calls for mandatory face mask usage in most indoor venues, ‘health pass’ to enter nightclubs and other events, and compulsory vaccination for frontline NHS staff.
But the victory was a costly one for Prime Minister Boris Johnson, as almost 100 MPs voted against the bill. The new guidelines only passed because Labour supported them.
