Canada has confirmed two cases of the emerging Omicron coronavirus variant.
It is understood that the two people involved recently arrived in the country from Nigeria.
Many countries are now banning flights from South Africa and other nations in the region in the wake of this new outbreak.
The US has deemed the Omicron to be a cause for ‘concern’ but not ‘panic.’
