There is chaos in the UK as a Covid app pinged over half a million people in recent days to self-isolate.
The app sent a total of 520,194 alerts in the seven days leading to July 7.
The notification was sent after the app detected that the person had been in close contact with someone who had tested positive for coronavirus.
