The Covid-19 virus could in Ireland for the next 6 to 18 months a NPHET doctor has warned.
Speaking at a National Public Health Emergency Team meeting Dr Dr Kathleen MacLellan, said the virus could be around for the next 6 to 18 months and therefore Ireland must act accordingly in order to prevent any potential outbreak.
Dr MacLellan said that although great efforts have been made in the past number of weeks, unfortunately the virus could be with us and there will be different outbreaks as we move along.
She added that it is vitally important that our system is protected and that we will be robust as we can be.
