The Department of Foreign Affairs have issued a warning to Irish people in regards to travelling to Germany.
In a statement the Department said that Irish citizens are advised not to travel through Germany unless they are a legal resident.
They are also advised against air transit through Germany unless they are returning home.
It is believed that the advice comes following protocols issued by German authorities.
