The European medicines regulator has given Pfizer the green light to distribute a new oral coronavirus drug in the European Union.
The drug, known as Paxlovid, is only recommended for adults at risk of developing serious disease if infected with Covid-19.
Supplies are expected to remain limited for a time as Pfizer prioritizes its intravenous compounds.
