Most reports about the new strain are of mild disease, with no deaths linked to Omicron so far.
Many people believe that fearmongering about Covid is closely linked to pharma companies with a financial interest in selling more vaccines and boosters, and maintaining ongoing demand of their products through manufactured concern and claims of waning immunity every few weeks.
