Former Taoiseach appointee and current Tanaiste Leo Varadkar appears to be spreading a narrative of control by fear by saying that people ‘will be scared’ over the next few weeks.
He threatens specifically people attending house parties. The goal here seems to be to sow fear and distrust among neighbours and friends, creating social division and a ‘trust the Government’s officials only’ type narrative.
Notably, Mr. Varadkar didn’t have any issue traveling to the UK for a festival when it suited him, while Ireland was in lockdown.
The Tanaiste was recently referred to as a ‘poisonous’ individual.
