France will soon begin offering ‘booster’ coronavirus vaccines to the elderly and those with serious underlying health problems.
The country will start administering the shots from September, only to those deemed vulnerable.
Leading pharma companies are pushing for booster shots as the effectiveness of the original vaccines is believed to decrease over time. Pfizer and Moderna recently announced price hikes to their vaccines to accommodate this ongoing business model.
