Gardai are warning this evening that they will be out en force over the weekend manning checkpoints across counties Kildare, Laois, and Offaly.
The counties remain under local lockdown following an upsurge in coronavirus cases.
Gardai expect to mount around 400 checkpoints to enforce compliance with the travel ban imposed last week.
