The global number of coronavirus has now surpassed 20m. The United States leads the world in number of deaths, with about a quarter of that figure.
According to official figures, the exact number is 20,089,624, with 736,191 deaths.
Health authorities believe however that the true figures are far higher due to reporting inconsistencies.
