Covid-19: Government’s shambolic performance on the spotlight again, as publicans slam decision to require tickets for live performances

The Irish Government’s shambolic performance is in the spotlight yet again, after the latest blunder of forcing publicans to request tickets for customers attending live music performances.

The latest random decision affects both pubs and nightclubs.

The measure has been branded a ‘disaster’, and referred to as ‘keystone cops meets Father Ted stuff.’

Earlier guidelines implied that nightclub goers would be safe from infection if they kept dancing all the time while inside the venue, and that only standing positions would keep people impervious to Covid-19 while attending a live gig.
