Ireland has reported just over 1,550 new coronavirus cases over the past 24h.
Official figures say that there have been 1,558 new infections confirmed in that period of time.
Health authorities have also said that there are 51 people being treated in intensive care units across the country.
There are increasing concerns about the effectiveness of the vaccination program in Ireland, as hundreds of new cases are detected every day despite the supposedly ‘successful’ rollout, and the much-touted efficacy of the vaccines.
