Gardai in Co Kilkenny have confirmed that a young boy is in serious condition in hospital following a road traffic incident.
It is understood that the young boy was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on the Station Road, in Thomastown, Co Kilkenny, on Sunday evening.
Gardai say the boy was taken to St Luke’s Hospital where he remains in serious condition.
They say the driver of the vehicle was uninjured in the collision.
