Irish health authorities have announced just under 1,500 new coronavirus infections over the past 24h.
Official figures say that there have been 1,466 new cases confirmed in that period of time.
Health authorities have also confirmed that 311 people are now in hospital with serious Covid-19-related illness. It is unclear how many of those are fully vaccinated.
