Irish health authorities have reported just under 13,800 new coronavirus cases over the last 24h, a pandemic record.
Official figures say that there have been 13,765 new infections confirmed in that period of time.
There currently are 378 patients with severe Covid-19-related disease in Irish hospitals today, the lowest figure since early October.
