Irish health authorities have reported just under 3,700 new coronavirus infections over the past 24h.
Official figures say that there have been 3,685 new cases confirmed in that period of time.
It is now blatantly evident that current vaccines are next to useless in preventing infection or transmission, and there is a large percentage of fully vaccinated individuals currently in hospital with severe coronavirus disease.
