Irish health authorities have reported over 3,100 new coronavirus infections over the past 24h.
Official figures say that there have been 3,174 new cases confirmed in that period of time.
It is understood that Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan will chair a briefing by the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) shortly.
