Covid-19: Italian doctor claims that virus ‘no longer exists clinically in the country’

An Italian doctor has today claimed that the Covid-19 virus ‘no longer exists clinically in Italy.

The claim was made by Dr. Alberto Zangrillo, the head of Milan’s San Raffaele Hospital in the Lombardy region, one of the worst affected areas in Italy.

The statement was met with some degree of disbelief, with some government-affiliated sources claiming to be ‘baffled’ by Mr. Zangrillo’s words.

No fewer than 33,415 people have died from Covid-19-related causes in Italy so far.
