Covid-19: Italy to enter lockdown status for most of the festive period as coronavirus cases spike again




Italy is to enter lockdown status for most of the festive period, as coronavirus cases begin to spike again.

The Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, made the announcement on Friday.

The lockdown means that non-essential shops will be closed between December 24th-27th, December 31st-January 3rd, and January 5th-6th.
