A recently identified new coronavirus strain might render any vaccine currently in development ineffective, health officials say.
The mutated strain, known as ‘Cluster 5’, was identified following reports of coronavirus outbreaks in mink farms across six countries. Cluster 5 has now been detected in humans.
Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, and Spain are among the countries affected.
