Covid-19: NPHET was reportedly prepared to recommend that pubs stay closed until October unless they accepted the ‘vaccine pass’

The National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) was reportedly prepared to recommend that pubs stay closed until October unless they accepted the ‘vaccine pass.’

It is understood that this opinion came from Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Tony Holohan. Mr. Holohan appears rather keen on forcing punters to show their papers at the door of pubs and restaurants to gain entry.

Indoor hospitality at pubs and restaurants will remain closed until July 19th at least, but there’s a very real possibility that this period might be extended further.
