Over 600,000 workers have lost their jobs during the pandemic in the UK so far, according to figures released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
The figures reflect that 612,000 jobs were lost between March and May of this year.
During that period, unemployment claims increase by about 1.6m as Covid-19 decimated the economy.
