Covid-19: Passengers flying into the UK might face a mandatory 14-day quarantine, but measure will not apply to people flying from Ireland

Passengers flying into the UK might face a mandatory 14-day quarantine. It has been confirmed, however, that the measure will not apply to people flying from Ireland.

Inbound passengers will be required to provide an address in which they will remain for 14 days. British authorities would then check these addresses for compliance. Those found flouting the rules might face fines of up to £1,000 and deportation.

The new measure is expected to be announced later today.
