The caretaker Taoiseach has confirmed that schools will re-open at the end of August in time for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Schools closed down on March 12 at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic here in Ireland, and while they are on course to reopen again, social distancing might remain in place, which may pose some challenges.
The Taoiseach further said that there will be a decision on whether or not Ireland advances to Phase 2 of the lock
