Covid-19: Several countries popular with Irish holidaymakers issue guidelines for would-be tourists

Several countries popular with Irish holidaymakers have issued guidelines for people considering travelling there after the end of the Covid-19 crisis.

Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Italy, and Turkey have said that their resorts are likely to maintain social distancing guidelines well beyond the ‘official’ end of the pandemic, whenever that might be, particularly around common areas such as swimming pools, bars, and similar facilities.

Italian officials in particular have warned that holidays ‘will never be the same again.’

The tourism industry is in total disarray at the moment, and with the crucial summer period looming closer and no end to the crisis in sight, things are bound to get much worse.
