Covid-19: Britain’s Chief Medical Officer warns that coronavirus’ second wave ‘might be worst than the first’

Professor Chris Whitty, Britain’s Chief Medical Officer, has issued a stark warning today, saying that a second wave of coronavirus ‘might be worst than the first’ if it hits during wintertime.

The expert’s warning comes after British Prime Minister Boris Johnson claimed that the UK is now ‘past the peak of the pandemic.’

Mr. Whitty said that there are still many unknown aspects to the virus, including whether or not it has a seasonal element to it.
