Covid-19: Tanaiste is reportedly considering buying shipments of Russian-made vaccines to make up for the vaccination shortfall




Former Taoiseach appointee and current Tanaiste Leo Varakdar is reportedly considering buying shipments of Russian-made vaccines to make up for the vaccination shortfall.

Ireland currently uses vaccines manufactured by Pfizer/Biontech and Moderna, but supply of these is scarce.

Mr. Varadkar has recommended considering the purchase of the Russian Sputnik V vaccines.
