Former Taoiseach appointee Leo Varadkar and current Tanaiste has said that despite a ‘successful’ vaccination campaign, Ireland is experiencing a ‘serious’ fourth wave.
Mr. Varadkar did not appear to grasp the incongruous nature of such a statement by mentioning ‘successful vaccination’ and ‘fourth wave of the virus’ in the same sentence.
The Government’s bumbling response to the Covid-19 pandemic has led to the spectacular failure of the vaccination campaign. Hundreds of thousands of people are now avoiding the (first) booster shot as they can see the futility of vaccination and they don’t want to be duped again.
