The HSE announced on Easter Monday evening that there was 724 new confirmed cases of coronavirus n the Republic of Ireland with another 43 people dying.
It brings the total in the Republic of Ireland to 13,271 with the government expecting a 30% increase daily from this week.
There’s 57% of men with coronavirus and 43% of women with the average age being 48.
Meanwhile in the north, there were 113 new confirmed cases today bringing the total in Northern Ireland to 2,201 with the total number of deaths there now standing at 158.
It means that as of Friday morning, there are now 15,472 confirmed cases across the island of Ireland.
