Covid-19: There’s now a total of 1,773 confirmed cases of coronavirus on the island of Ireland

The HSE announced on Wednesday evening that there was 235 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland with another two people dying.

It brings the total in the Republic of Ireland to 1,564 with the government expecting a 30% increase daily from this week.

There’s 57% of men with coronavirus and 43% of women with the average age being 45.

Meanwhile in the north, there were 37 new confirmed cases today bringing the total in Northern Ireland to 209.

It means that as of Thursday morning, there are now 1,773 confirmed cases across the island of Ireland.

Tragically another woman and man died from covid-19 bringing the total in the south to 9. The woman had underlying health problems while the man had no health issues.
