The HSE announced on Sunday evening that there was 493 new confirmed cases of coronavirus n the Republic of Ireland with another 39 people dying.
It brings the total in the Republic of Ireland to 15,251 with the government expecting a 30% increase daily from this week.
There’s 57% of men with coronavirus and 43% of women with the average age being 48.
Meanwhile in the north, there were 159 new confirmed cases today bringing the total in Northern Ireland to 2,645 with the total number of deaths there now standing at 194.
It means that as of Monday morning, there are now 17,896 confirmed cases across the island of Ireland.
