The HSE announced on Wednesday evening that there was 255 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland with another ten people dying.
It brings the total in the Republic of Ireland to 1,819 with the government expecting a 30% increase daily from this week.
There’s 57% of men with coronavirus and 43% of women with the average age being 45.
Meanwhile in the north, there were 32 new confirmed cases today bringing the total in Northern Ireland to 241.
It means that as of Friday morning, there are now 2,060 confirmed cases across the island of Ireland.
