The Dail has tonight passed the Emergency Measures in the Public Interest Bill – without a vote.
It’s understood that the Bill will now go to the Seanad tomorrow.
The aim of the legislation is to reduce the spread of coronavirus and to try and lessen the impact to the economy as a result.
It’s believed that the Bill will get through the Seanad without any difficulty.
