Covid-19: Time between Pfizer vaccination shots could be extended following AstraZeneca and J&J issues

The time between the first and second dose of the Pfizer and BioNtech Covid-19 vaccine could extended under new plans being considered by health officials.

According to RTE News, public health officials are considering the measure in order to make sure more people are vaccinated.

Although no official decision has yet been made, it is reported that officials are considering the measures following the recent changes and concerns surrounding the AstraZeneca and Johnson and Johnson vaccines.

RTE News reports that any change to the plan would have approved by NIAC before it is implemented.

Under the proposals the gap between each dose would be more than the current 28 days which is recommended by the vaccine manufacturer.
