A top doctor is today warning that coronavirus infections could spike dramatically again shortly after lifting restrictions.
According to Professor Philip Nolan, Chair of the Irish Epidemiological Modelling Advisory Group Professor, the virus is currently growing at a rate of 5-6% every day.
Professor Nolan has said that cases could shoot up ‘weeks or months’ after lockdown restrictions are lifted.
