A top Irish health official has all but confirmed the coming of a second wave of coronavirus.
Professor Phillip Nolan of Maynooth University, who’s currently a member of the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET), issued the stark warning on Thursday, saying that ‘a second wave of Covid-19 in Ireland is not a matter of if, but when.’
A total of 1,583 people have so far died from Covid-19-related causes in Ireland so far.
