Visitors to the UK might face fines of up to £1,000 if they fail to self-isolate for 14 days upon arriving at the country, it has emerged today.
Inbound passengers will be asked to share contact details, with officials performing checks at a later stage. If the person is caught flouting the rules, they might be fined.
Passengers from Ireland are exempt from the 14-day quarantine rule.
