The UK has moved to ban travel from several African countries following the emergence of a mutated coronavirus strain.
From 4am tonight, people arriving from South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Botswana, Eswatini, and Zimbabwe will need to undergo mandatory quarantine.
The move follows the discovery of a mutant coronavirus strain that is thought to evade antibodies. If this variant becomes widespread, the entire vaccination program around the world will become moot and people will have been subjected to three or more jabs for nothing.
