The UK is reporting that one person has died ‘with’ the Omicron coronavirus variant.
These reports should be taken with a great degree of skepticism, just like anything else related to Covid-19, as ‘with’ is not quite the same as ‘from.’ In other words, you could be hit by a bus ‘with’ any variant of any virus and most media would attribute the death to coronavirus.
The international consensus is that Omicron causes very mild symptoms -if any at all- yet the new variant has become the all-too-perfect excuse for further lockdowns and, of course, instilling more fear in people’s minds to sell more vaccines.
It’s worth remembering, once again, that Omicron is an anagram for ‘moronic.’
