The British Government has pledged to reopen the country’s schools on June 1, as long as Covid-19 infections continue to decrease.
The announcement was met with dismay by several local councils, however, as officials believe it’s not safe to reopen schools yet.
Some European countries have begun reopening schools with social distancing and other safety measures in place.
