Up to 40 mass vaccination centres are to be set up across Ireland over the coming weeks to speed up the vaccination process.
The Health Service Executive (HSE) has confirmed that everyone aged 70 and over will have received their first dose by April, and be fully vaccinated by mid-May.
Official figures say that 3,686 people have died from Covid-19-related causes in Ireland so far.
