Met Eireann is warning of ‘plenty snow’ this week, though it remains uncertain if conditions will get as bad as the ‘Beast from the East’ event.

The national forecaster has issued an advisory weather note for the whole country, which will remain in place until Wednesday.

Daytime temperatures are expected to reach 4-5C at best, sinking below zero after dark.
