New figures just released by the Health Service Executive (HSE) say that up to 84% of the adult population in Ireland is now fully vaccinated against coronavirus.

A recent study also reveals that fully vaccinated population can still become infected and transmit the Delta variant with the same ease as the unvaccinated.

According to the HSE, there currently are 54 patients with severe Covid-19-related illness in intensive care units across the country. It remains unclear what the percentage of vaccinated individuals among those is.
