The Covid-19 vaccine portal is set to open for people aged 59 today.
The news comes as those aged 50 and above will be able to register for their vaccine over the coming days.
It is understood that although the vaccine portal will be opened, NIAC will provide further information on the roll-out plan in the coming days.
The committee are expect to announce their decision whether or not those under the 50 will receive their vaccine sooner or if the programme will run parallel to those aged 50 and above.
The decision comes as the vast majority of the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine which has been reccomended for those aged 50 and over is not expected in the country until June.
