According to various reports it is understood that around 15 kilograms of herbal cannabis has been discovered at one of the country’s largest postal centres.
The drugs, which are understood to have an estimated street value of approximately €300,000, were found as part of routine profiling at a postal Centre in portlaoise.
It is believed that a Customs and Revenue sniffer dog named Stella reacted to a parcel, described on the centre’s manifest as “food and spices” which was sent from the west Africa region to an address in north Dublin.
