A male cyclist in his 40s has today sustained critical injuries after colliding with a van in north county Dublin.
A second man was also injured, but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The incident happened near Turvey Avenue and the old N1 Road between Lusk and Donabate, at around midday today. The cyclist was rushed to Beaumount Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
The area remains closed for a technical examination.
