Gardai in Dublin have confirmed that a cyclist has been seriously injured following a hit and run incident.
It is understood that the man aged in his 20s was seriously injured after being struck by a car in North Wall Quay at approximately 10.30pm on Monday.
Gardai investigating the incident say the driver of the car failed to remain at the scene.
They added that the car was later found in Castleforbes Square.
