Gardaí in Co Donegal have confirmed that a man aged in his 20s has been seriously injured following a road traffic incident this morning.
It is understood the man who was a cyclist was injured after he was struck by a car on the Springfield Road in Ballindrait, near Lifford at approximately 9am.
Gardaí say the man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
