At 11pm tonight, the UK will officially leave the European Union. All debates, all rows, all arguments over and done with – it’s done.
Around 20,000 people are expected to hold a street party outside Big Ben and Westminster at that time.
After the referendum, which saw some 17.4 million people vote to leave, Nigel Farage addressed the European Parliament declaring:
“When I arrived here with my idea of the UK leaving the EU, you all laughed at me – well, you’re not laughing now, are you?”
And how right he is – the European Union will no longer have the UK as a participant after 11pm tonight.
